Hashem expands and increases our capabilities according to our conviction to reach a higher level in ruchnius. There are two factors that greatly enhance a teenager's ratzon to advance in leimud haTorah and avodas Hashem. When a student is taught the proper skills how to learn and is given a deeper understanding of mussar and hashkafah, he will be motivated to further his learning and character development. Once he tastes true success in his learning, he will be enthusiastic and excited to continue to experience that amazing feeling of understanding. Similarly, when he begins to grasp the inner workings of human nature and starts to sense that he is mastering his feelings and emotions, he will naturally develop a strong desire to further his pursuit for character development. Additionally, it is vital for a teenager to forge close relationships with his rabbeim. They could help him navigate his way through the difficult teenage years and solve issues that may have otherwise detracted from his desire to succeed in avodas Hashem.
